Neptec Adds Expertise To Management Team and Announces Three Contract Wins

Jason Di Tommaso joins from Siemens to drive global partnerships

Ottawa, Canada — March 10, 2009 — Neptec Design Group, a leader in space, defence and industrial systems and applications, today announced the appointment of Jason Di Tommaso to the position of Vice President of Global Marketing and Strategic Development, and the awarding of three contracts by the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) to provide advanced systems technology expertise in support of Canada’s space exploration program.

Di Tommaso, who previously worked at Siemens managing the company’s Government Programs, has extensive experience fostering client, partner and government relationships on both local and international scales. Specializing in areas of security, defence, infrastructure and transportation, Di Tommaso’s industry knowledge is a strong fit with Neptec’s business opportunities.

As part of its mandate to develop Canadian technologies for use in future space exploration, the CSA has awarded Neptec’s aerospace division three concept study contracts , valued at a total of $1.6 million, for potential technology to be utilized on the Mars Sample Return Mission, the Japanese SELENE2 Mission, and plans for an Excavation Lunar Rover.
