The crewmembers of the space shuttle Endeavour have been in space for 5 days. Thanks to a local company, they will get to spend more time there.
The shuttle is believed to have been damaged during its flight into orbit.
After the shuttle took off, NASA did a rendez-vous pitch basically a sommersault where the crew on the space station takes a number of digital photographs so they can see if there are any problem areas on the shuttle.
Neptec's scanner takes an accurate measurement of damage so NASA can determine what the damage is and decide what to do about it.
NASA says the damage to the shuttle is relatively minor, but they are not taking any chances, and have asked Neptec to oversee the inspection of the shuttle.
The Endeavour is scheduled to land back on Earth on August 22nd.
